The EU has raised the maximum residue level (MRL) for clopyralid on honey and other apiculture products.

What is changing?
The MRL for clopyralid in honey and other apiculture products has been raised from 0.05 to 0.15 mg/kg.
Why?
Following an application to modify the MRL for clopyralid in honey and other apiculture products, EFSA (2024) concluded that all data requirements were met and the modifications were acceptable for consumer safety.
Timeline
The new MRL applies from 28 October 2024.
