The EU has published a Regulation increasing the maximum residue level (MRL) for prosulfocarb on herbs and edible flowers.

What is changing?
The EU has established an MRL of 0.2 mg/kg for herbs and edible flowers. The MRL was previously set at the limit of determination (LOD) of 0.01 mg/kg.
Why?
In response to an application requesting modification of the existing MRL for prosulfocarb on herbs and edible flowers, EFSA (2022) concluded that the requested modification was acceptable with regard to consumer safety.
Timeline
The new MRL will apply from 26 February 2023.
