EU increases MRLs for spinetoram on prickly pears and cactus fruits

On 2 June 2023 the EU published a Regulation increasing the MRL for spinetoram on prickly pears and cactus fruits.

What is changing?
The EU has increased the MRL for spinetoram on prickly pears and cactus fruits from 0.02 to 0.5 mg/kg.
Why?
New Codex MRLs (CXLs) for spinetoram have been adopted. EFSA (2022) has not identified a consumer health risk for these CXLs, so they have been adopted as EU MRLs.
Timeline
The new EU MRLs for spinetoram will apply from 22 June 2023.
